A uuid is the part after /scan/ in the address of a result page. It is the whole of the authorisation for that result, so treat it like a password.

The file is read once, in memory, to work out the comparison, and is never written to disk or kept. The comparison itself is held for 5 minutes so that this page can be reloaded, and then it is gone too.
